The American Technion Society – Houston invites you to
Couvert: $18 per person
Please join us for an exciting program featuring Professor Daniella Raveh, who will speak about her award-winning, 3D-printed test airplane and other groundbreaking research now underway in the Technion Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. Launched in 1954, and still the only one of its kind in Israel, the Faculty plays a key role in keeping Israel safe, strong, and on the cutting edge. It has trained several of the nation’s leaders in air and space, underpinning the nation’s $10 billion dollar industries in those areas, which include commercial aircraft manufacturing, UAVs, satellites, Iron Dome and other defensive systems. Wine, appetizers and dessert will be served.
Professor Daniella Raveh ’92, Ph.D.’99 focuses her research in the area of aeroelasticity, and the interaction between aerodynamic forces and flexible structures. She earned her Technion degrees in aeronautical and aerospace engineering, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory at Georgia Institute of Technology before joining the Technion in 2001.
