Two Outstanding Technion Alums: Two Outstanding Awards

Serial entrepreneur and Technion graduate Dov Moran co-won the prestigious Eduard Rein Foundation Award for the development of the USB flash drive. Chairman and CEO of  the start-up Comigo, Mr. Moran donated the prize money to the Technion. Click here to read more.

Columbia University mathematics professor, Maria Chudnovsky, a double Technion graduate, won the 2012 MacArthur Fellowship, for her outstanding work in the fundamentals of graph theory. Click here to read more.


TCII News Update

Stunning NYC Tech Campus Rendering by Kilograph

Technion and Cornell University professors gathered with industry researchers for a lively two-day workshop, October 15-16, on the Built Environment.  It was the last in a series of three workshops centered on the TCII’s academic “hubs.” Click here for an overview of the workshop. 

Just as the workshop was getting underway, Cornell NYC Tech entered into a land use review process with the city, releasing new renderings of the proposed campus.

The much-anticipated annual Times Higher Education survey, The World University Rankings, ranked the Technion #193 — up a category from last year. The ranking comes on the heels of an August 2012 survey out of Shanghai Jiao Tong University that placed the Technion’s computer science faculty the 18th best in the world.
