He describes some of the incredible challenges that he faced throughout his tenure as well as his role in the establishment of major projects at the university including the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute and the Lorry I. Lokey Interdisciplinary Center for Life Science and Engineering. He also speaks about the Nobel Prize ceremony in 2004 when two Technion professors received Israel's first Nobel Prize in science.

TechCast with Professor Yoram Reiter Cancer Cells in the Crosshairs
Prof. Yoram Reiter, dean of the Technion Faculty of Biology, describes how he and his team have found ways to wage war against cancer using the body's own immune system, by disguising cancer cells as viruses. Using this technique they have shown that the immune system reacts and eliminates the invaders.

Prof. Karl Skorecki of the Technion Faculty of Medicine talks about his headline-grabbing discovery: that the lineage of the modern-day Kohanim - the descendants of the tribe of Jewish priests - can be traced back to a single male ancestor. He also discusses the research that proved that 40 percent of Ashkenazi Jews are descendants of just four 'founding mothers.'
